Real-world Affective Faces database of Compound Emotions

Humans' facial representations are often appear as combinations, blends, or compounds of different basic emotions.
Real-world Affective Faces database of Compound Emotions (RAF-CE) is a single-label compound facial expression dataset, with corresponding AU labels. We selected a portion of the images from RAF-ML. By mapping multi-label blended expressions to compound emotions and align images with that of RAF-AU, we constrcuted a database with both single-label compound emotion labels and AU labels.
In RAF-CE, we provide 4549 images from RAF-ML, each with a compound emotion label , and AU distribution.

For more details of the datasets, please refer to the paper " Compound Expression Recognition In-the-wild with AU-assisted Meta Multi-task Learning " (RAF-CE) (soon to be available).

RAFCE_emolabel.txt: Single expression label of each image. There are a total of 14 categories: Happily surprised(0), Happily disgusted(1), Sadly fearful(2), Sadly angry(3), Sadly surprised(4), Sadly disgusted(5), Fearfully angry(6), Fearfully surprised(7), Fearfully disgusted(8), Angrily surprised(9), Angrily disgusted(10), Disgustedly surprised(11), Happily fearful(12) and Happily sad(13).

RAFCE_AUlabel.txt: AU labels of each image. L,R,B,T represent Left only, Right only, Bottom only and Top only respectively. Annotation details can be found at RAF-AU.

RAFCE_partition.txt: The training/test/validation partition we used in the RAF-CE experiments. Label 0 for train; label 1 for test; label 2 for validation.

In order to download the source images for further study, one must apply for the RAF-CE databases as follows.
